John Bates

John Bates, married to Mary Bates of Zanesville, has two daughters Keela (Brad) Barker, and Nicole (Mike) Zuniga, two granddaughters and one grandson. 

John is a lifetime resident of Muskingum County.

Education:  Zanesville High School; Wittenburg University; Hondros, Missouri Auction School, Certified Appraisers Guild of America.

He is a Marine Corp Veteran, member of Eagles, American Legion, VFW, National Realtor Association and Zanesville Board of Realtors.

John is a successful businessman, realtor and auctioneer. In the past years he managed a manufacturing plant in Newark, Phelps Dodge and Ludlow, he worked with labor relations. He was also involved with the expansion and training of the Phelps Dodge plant working as a Process  Engineer and General Foreman.

John is looking forward to serving the people of Muskingum County.
